Welcome to GrantLedger. By using our website and services at grantledger.net, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

GrantLedger provides a searchable database of U.S. private foundations and their grant history, derived from publicly available IRS Form 990 filings. We help nonprofits research potential funders.

2. Accounts

You may browse limited results without an account. To access full features, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

• Free Plan: Limited search results, basic features, no cost.
• Pro Plan: $49/month (first week $1) or $299/year, unlimited results, full features.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
• Cancel anytime from your account page—no cancellation fees.
• We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on Pro subscriptions.

4. Refunds

If you're unsatisfied with Pro within the first 30 days, contact us at jake@grant-ledger.com for a full refund. After 30 days, refunds are at our discretion.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or bulk download our data
• Resell or redistribute our data commercially
• Use automated tools to access the service excessively
• Attempt to circumvent payment or access restrictions
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose

6. Data Accuracy

Our data comes from IRS Form 990 filings, which are self-reported by foundations. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all information is complete or error-free. Always verify critical information directly with foundations before making decisions.

7. Intellectual Property

The GrantLedger name, logo, website design, and proprietary features (like Openness Scores) are our property. The underlying 990 data is public record. You may use data you access for your own nonprofit research purposes.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

GrantLedger is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that our service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific needs. We are not responsible for grant application outcomes.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GrantLedger shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of GrantLedger after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify you of significant changes by email.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may cancel your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately.

12. SMS / Text Message Communications

By providing your phone number when scheduling a consultation with GrantLedger — either through grantledger.net or by giving it verbally to our sales team during a phone call — you agree to receive transactional SMS messages from GrantLedger related to your consultation. These messages include booking confirmation, reminders 24 hours and 2 hours before the scheduled meeting, and a follow-up with a reschedule link if you miss the meeting. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS.

Message frequency: Typical volume is fewer than 5 messages per consultation. Messages are sent only in connection with a scheduled meeting.

Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier rates set by your mobile provider apply to messages you receive from us. GrantLedger does not charge a separate fee for SMS. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

To opt out: Reply STOP to any message from us at any time. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed and will receive no further SMS from us. To re-subscribe, schedule a new consultation and provide your phone number.

Privacy: Phone numbers collected for SMS are used only to send the appointment messages described above. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. 13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
