When you create an account or book a consultation, we collect:
- Email address (required for login)
- Payment information (processed securely by Stripe)
- Phone number (when you provide it to schedule a phone or video consultation with our team)
Usage Information
We automatically collect:
- Search queries and filter selections
- Pages visited and features used
- Device type, browser, and IP address
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve our services
- Process payments and manage subscriptions
- Send transactional emails (login links, receipts)
- Respond to support requests
- Analyze usage to improve the product
SMS / Text Message Communications
If you provide your phone number when scheduling a consultation — either by entering it on grantledger.net or by giving it verbally to our sales team during a phone call — you consent to receive transactional SMS messages from GrantLedger related to that consultation. These messages include:
- Booking confirmation when you schedule a meeting
- Reminders 24 hours and 2 hours before your scheduled consultation
- A follow-up message with a reschedule link if you miss your scheduled time
Message frequency: Messages are sent only in connection with a scheduled consultation. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS. Typical volume is fewer than 5 messages per consultation.
Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier rates set by your mobile provider apply to messages you receive from us. GrantLedger does not charge a separate fee for SMS.
Opt out: Reply STOP to any message from us to immediately unsubscribe from all future SMS. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. To re-subscribe, schedule a new consultation and provide your phone number.

Carriers and privacy: Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS are used only to send the appointment messages described above.
Data Sources
The foundation and grant data displayed on GrantLedger comes from publicly available IRS Form 990 filings. This is public record information published by the Internal Revenue Service.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Stripe — for payment processing
- Vercel — for website hosting
- Analytics providers — for usage analysis (anonymized)
Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication, and regular security updates. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers.
Your Rights

- Access your account data at any time
- Delete your account by contacting support
- Export your saved searches and data
- Opt out of non-essential communications
